House Flipper
Introduction
Thanks to the boost in popularity of so-called "house flippers" and their TV shows, nearly everyone knows what "flipping houses" means. If you don't, it's when you buy a run down house and completely revamp it, creating the house of someone's dreams.
House Flipper is a game that allows you to do just that. And I've put hundreds of hours into the game.
In House Flipper, you start by completing odd jobs to earn some cash before you can buy your own houses. These jobs may include painting or getting rid of walls or even installing furniture. If you have DLC like Garden Flipper, you may even need to do outside work.
You're paid by the amount of the job you've completed, meaning if you finish the job, you're going to get a lot more than if you only do the bare minimum. You need to remember, however, that buying furniture and paint costs you money. You are repaid after you finish the job.
Buying Houses
After a while, you'll have some cash saved up and you can buy your own property. Once you've bought one, you can do anything to it you want as long as the outside walls stay standing. You can even sell and reposition the front door and windows.
You'll have to do a lot of cleaning for the possible buyers to be happy. Each buyer likes different things. There are families who want multiple bedrooms. There are business owners who want a large office. You'll have to design your home with the buyer in mind. Then you can sell it for a profit and get to work on your next house.
Downloadable Content
House Flipper currently has 6 DLC available. The first was the Apocalypse DLC which is free with purchase of the game. In it, you unlock houses with underground bunkers as well as some new furniture.
Next was the Garden DLC, where you get to mow the lawn and add outdoor decorations.
Then we have the HGTV DLC which adds more furniture. I don't have this one yet.
Another free DLC is the Cyberpunk DLC, which adds more furniture and houses.
Next we have the Luxury DLC which adds more homes and furniture.
Finally is my favorite, the Pets DLC. With it, you can buy pets that can accompany you to the worksites. There are tons to collect and I absolutely adore them. It also comes with the standard of more houses and furniture.
There's More?
Oh, yes. There's a second House Flipper game coming out later in 2023. In it, not only can you flip houses, you can build your own, completely personalizing your experience. I'm so excited. I cannot wait for it to come out. It's going on the top of my wishlist and should be the topper for yours, too!
